We are a family of designers with backgrounds in fiber arts, interior design and architecture. We create each City Girl Farm product with materials we love and art processes we enjoy. Our inspiration comes from daily life on the farm - watching the Kansas wheat turn to gold, feeling the thunderstorms roll across the plain, and hunting for chicken eggs.

Henny + Penny were our first chicken footstools, a result of Sally’s final furniture design studio at Kansas State University. Wherever the chickens traveled - local art fairs, furniture design competitions, to and fro along the hallways of Seaton Hall - people loved interacting with them. The idea for the City Girl Farm unfolded as more people requested a chicken footstool of their very own.
